Vážení a milí členovia,
rád by som Vás informoval o výbornej správe pre Slovensko a Klub tibetských plemien.
Uplynulý víkend sa vo Švédsku konal Svetový kongres tibetských teriérov (Tibetan Terrier World Congress). Ide o tradičnú akciu, ktorá sa koná viac ako 20 rokov. Toto podujatie je putovnou akciou, ktorá sa koná raz za dva roky. Počas jedného víkendu spája špeciálnu výstavu tibetských teriérov s dňom prednášok a spoločenským podujatím. Počas kongresu sa konajú mnohé zaujímavé diskusie, ktoré posúvajú plemeno tibetský teriér dopredu. Akcia je celosvetovo rešpektovaná a uznávaná. Najbližší kongres sa v roku 2026 bude konať v Spojených štátoch.
Náš Klub tibetských plemien požiadal zástupcov Svetového kongresu tibetských teriérov o organizovanie tohto rešpektovaného podujatia. Naša nominácia bola veľmi pozitívne prijatá a podporilo ju mnoho zástupcov z celej Európy. Je pre mňa cťou Vám oznámiť, že Svetový kongres tibetských teriérov sa bude v roku 2028 konať na Slovensku!
Sme malá krajina a malý klub. No naša práca nezostala bez povšimnutia ani vo svete. Osobne som veľmi hrdý na celý výbor a funkcionárov KTP, ktorí pracujú na podpore a organizácií klubových podujatí. Robia to s radosťou a záujmom. Možnosť zorganizovať svetový kongres je pre nás všetkých veľkou výzvou, no zároveň poctou. Verím, že pripravíme akciu hodnú svetového mena.
Zároveň mi dovoľte, aby som vyjadril poďakovanie nielen výboru a funkcionárom, ale aj dobrovoľníkom, ktorí svojou prácou prispievajú k činnosti klubu. Či už je to hľadaním darcov dvoch percent z daní, alebo prácou pri príprave klubových akcií. Vašu podporu a aktivitu si veľmi vážim. A pokiaľ aj Vy máte záujem priložiť ruku k dielu, Vaša pomoc je vítaná! Budeme sa tešiť každému dobrovoľníkovi.
Práca pre klub je čisto dobrovoľná práca. Robíme ju s radosťou a zodpovedne. Napriek tomu, že je to práca niekedy veľmi náročná a vyžaduje si často veľa času. Je to však aj práca, ktorá prináša do života pocit zadosťučinenia. Prácou pre klub viete, že podporujete dobrú vec. Sám si často spomínam na časy, keď som do klubu (vtedy ešte len do Klubu plemena Lhasa apso) vstupoval ako mladý tínedžer. Bol som plný elánu a radosti, pretože klub spájal ľudí s rovnakým záujmom a nadšením. Dnes, keď máme v klube spojené štyri tibetské plemená, sa však poslanie klubu nezmenilo. Stále spája ľudí, ktorí milujú tibetské plemená a nadšenie z nich je možno ešte o niečo väčšie. Niekedy spolu zápasíme vo výstavných kruhoch, no mimo nich máme všetci rovnaký zámer – vytvárať prostredie, v ktorom sa bude tibetským plemenám dariť. Každý, kto priložil ruku k dielu si môže s hrdosťou povedať, že urobil niečo pre svoje plemeno. Je to krásny pocit zadosťučinenia. V kynológii, ale ani v živote, človek nezájde ďaleko sám. Keď sa však spoja viacerí s rovnakou myšlienkou a túžbou, máločo ich dokáže zastaviť.

Dear members and friends,
I would like to inform you of some excellent news for Slovakia and our Tibetan Breeds Club.
This past weekend, The World Congress of Tibetan Terriers was held in Sweden. The Congress is a traditional event that has been taking place for over 20 years. It is a traveling event held every two years, combining a Tibetan terrier specialty show with a day of lectures and social gatherings over one weekend. During the congress, many interesting discussions take place and many help advance the Tibetan Terrier breed. The event is globally respected and recognized. The next congress will be held in the United States in 2026.
Our Tibetan Breeds Club applied to host this prestigious event. Our nomination was very positively received and supported by many representatives from across Europe. It is an honor for me to announce to you that The Tibetan Terrier World Congress will be held in Slovakia in 2028!
We are a small country and a small club, but our work has not gone unnoticed in the world. I am personally very proud of the entire committee and KTP officials who work hard to support and organize all club events. They do so with joy and dedication. The opportunity to organize the world congress is a great challenge for all of us, but also a great honor. I believe we will prepare an event worthy of a world-class name.
I would also like to express my gratitude not only to the committee and officials but also to the volunteers who contribute to the club’s activities through their work, whether by finding donors for the club or by helping to organize club events. I greatly appreciate your support and activity. If you are interested in contributing, your help is welcome! We look forward to every volunteer.
Working for the club is purely voluntary. We do it with joy and responsibility, even though it is sometimes very demanding and often requires a lot of time. However, it is also work that brings a sense of fulfillment. By working for the club, you know you are supporting a good cause. I often recall the time when I joined the club (then it was just the Lhasa Apso Breed Club) as a young teenager. I was full of enthusiasm and joy because the club brought together people with the same interest and passion. Today, even though our club now includes four Tibetan breeds, the club’s mission has not changed. It still brings together people who love Tibetan breeds, and the passion for them might be even greater. Sometimes we compete against each other in the show rings, but outside of them, we all share the same goal – to create an environment where Tibetan breeds can thrive. Everyone who has contributed can proudly say they have done something for their breed. It is a wonderful feeling of fulfillment. In cynology, as in life, one does not get far alone. But when people come together with the same idea and desire, few things can stop them.
